From the 26th - 30th August 2010, The Venerable Bede was transformed into the 'Starship Discovery' Every morning, approximately 70 crew members joined the leaders each day, for 2 hours of drama, a song that we still can't get out of our heads and plenty of crafts and games! On the first day, all crew members decorated their own colour coded T-shirts, Green for our youngest group, The Rockets, Orange for the 6-7 year olds, 'The Starships' and our older group, the 8yrs+ were our 'Planets' The children made a variety of items from Rocket Packs to 'Earth Orbitors,' 'Pizza Planets' to 'Prayer Rockets' all the while learning about the story of Peter and about Gods wonderful world.
